Coaching

becoming more fully who you are

What is Inner Work?

Inner Work is a personal endeavor. It is one-on-one work that centers discovering connection with the most genuine part of ourselves. It is a unique journey for each of us that shows us the ways in which we hold ourselves back, which holds the key to set us free.

The inner journey is challenging. It opens us up by testing us. It teaches us through our willingness to keep facing our growing edge, develop skillfulness, and deepen our capacity to love.

This work is for those who want to fully participate in life, let go of and heal from the past, and offer the world what matters most to them.

What could you give the world if you were fully active in the process of touching your truest potential? Questions like this are foundational aspirations of the path of Inner Work, stretching and inspiring us to become more fully who we are.

This is for you if…

You want to improve the quality of your relationships and bring more aligned relationships into your life.

You seek help navigating big life decisions, change, and transition.

You want to pursue a life of purpose and find purpose in life.

If you want to develop compassion, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and inner knowing.

You want to deepen spiritually and integrate spirituality with practicality.

You want to connect with your dreams, aspirations, and the unique potential you have in this life.

Survival or Creativity

We could look at our moment-to-moment choices, words, and actions through the lens of these two categories: Survival or Creativity.

Survival is perhaps the most commonly accepted way of living in our modern-day world. Most of us were taught that to live means to simply survive. We think we need to look after and defend ourselves, gain as much security as possible through wealth and ownership, compete with others and win, and protect ourselves at all costs.

But is this mindset how we want to live?

I say it is not. There is another way, a creative way. Love is creative because it is fresh. It is creative because it is fearless. It is creative because it is spontaneous in the present moment. It sees clearly what is and chooses to work with it rather than against it. It connects us with our true wisdom and strength.

Developing our capacity to be with difficulties, challenges, and discomforts allows us to tap into our creative potential. When we can “c” first we stop reacting to life and start creating.

How Mind Works

Learning the fundamentals of how the mind works is essential for living creatively, lovingly, and openly. Until we learn about the workings of the mind we are completely and utterly under its control and we don’t even know it. We are at the mercy of thoughts because we believe they are the truth. We don’t understand that our belief is what gives thoughts power and that repetition makes them stronger. We don’t understand that the past operates automatically within us until we recognize it, question it, and decide to open ourselves to another possibility. One that is new and completely unknown in this moment.

Gaining awareness of the mind, feeling its effect in the body, and practicing how to use thought consciously and purposefully connects us with an innate power and wisdom resting within each of us. We learn to trust ourselves more, act in alignment with intuition, and feel an unconditional support that cannot be explained by conventional wisdom.

What We’ll Do Together

Commit to Practice - There is no other way to progress in anything than to practice. This is a commitment to yourself and to everyone who has ever and will ever walk this Earth. We will work together to create, adapt, and nourish your personal practices to suit you in this unique moment of your life.

Navigate Life Decisions - Finding clarity during big transitions and having the courage to follow our heart is no small task. Confusion and indecision are very distracting and drain energy. There are skills and techniques to connect with the living wisdom within us right now. Following the lead of this intelligence is a big part of Inner Work Coaching.

Connect with Body Intelligence - Feeling is a portal into the present moment and contains much more wisdom than we could imagine. We are trained to think and this makes feeling a challenge. Together, we will fine-tune our sensitivity and open our hearts to what our breath and bodies are communicating to us.

Understand & Work with your Mind - Mindfulness, slowing down, and concentration—these are foundational skills needed to do anything well, including living a joyful and loving life. If we are unable to give sustained attention to someone, something, or ourselves, then we will not be able to tune in to what’s really needed in the moment.

Expand Awareness - Once we can rest our attention on one thing, then we can give it space, let it be, observe, feel, and learn. This is essential to be able to let things go in the truest sense.

Harness Imagination - Powerful, concentrated form of thought. Through intentional visualization practices and allowing different possibilities allows us to experience just how powerful the mind really is.

What people say

“Working with Nate has been a truly amazing experience. He is probably THE most warm, open and genuine individual I have ever met and it is so calming to be around him. I really value his classes and recommend them to others because of both the thoughtful and original ideas and lessons he provides and the great atmosphere he creates. Nate has really thoughtful and beneficial ways of looking at challenges and mundane things in life- he addresses how to work with our most challenging relationships and how to work and speak to ourselves in a kinder way. He really gets an important truth in life that we often can't change the situations and people around us, but we do have a lot of control over ourselves. He provides powerful exercises that allow us to practice changing the negative or anxiety-provoking thoughts we have and help us appreciate so many things we often take for granted. Nate has really insightful phrases and ideas I often write down such as, "Abundance is wanting what you have". Finally, he is so kind, warm, and open-minded that simply working with him will make you feel a whole lot better in general. I strongly recommend Nate's workshops, meditations, and classes, especially for those who currently feel stuck, view life, themselves, or others negatively, or just want a compassionate, kind way to work through challenges.” - T
